A "superload" will be moving through the south west region this week as it heads to Dundonnell.

The 370 tonne superload is continuing on its journey, with VicRoads confiming the superload will pass through the area overnight tonight into early Saturday morning.

Tonight's leg will follow the Princes Highway to Stoneyford, diverting around Colac, Cobden and Camperdown. The Superload is expected to arrive at the rest stop on the Princes Highway between Boorcan and Noorat around 7am Saturday.

VicRoads crews will help to get the Superload safely around corners by temporarily removing signage and lights, ensuring steel supports are placed over existing drainage and then putting everything back in place.

Drivers travelling at the same time as the Superload are urged to plan ahead and allow more time for delays and detours.
