Chief Executive of the Restaurant and Catering Association WES LAMBERT told Neil Mitchell many are ready to go.
"We want to ensure that all hospitality businesses, especially those that are represented by the Restaurant and Catering Association have either an update in the Victoria app or they have coordinated with an API," he said.
Mr Lambert said most cafe's and restaurants statewide have already got a QR system, but all of them will need one.
"As far as restaurants, cafe's and caterers go it's approaching 100%, we certainly know that for some businesses where English isn't a first language they certainly tend to lag behind as the information is disseminated," he said.
"Certainly because we've all been living with COVID for over a year, most of the recommendations that are coming out from the government do get out to those businesses."
