Jet Skiers Raise Money

A pair of jet skiers arrived in Apollo Bay earlier this week

A team of Jet Ski Adventurers are on a mission to complete a loop around Bass Strait to raise money for Lifeline Australia.

The 1,700km ride stopped in Apollo Bay earlier this week, completing a 156km journey from King Island Tasmania.

The journey took around seven hours to complete, enduring three metre swells and 30km/h winds.

Team leader and one of the skiers Dave Gray, says they hope to raise $15,000

"A group of us are going to jet ski a loop of Bass Strait, from North West of Tasmania to along the coast of southern Victoria, covering 1,700km in eight days."

"We are doing this in support of Lifeline Tasmania, who provide ongoing and vital support to Tasmanians in need."
