Due to the Premiers announcement yesterday, closing all indoor venues considered non-essential services or businesses, a number of spaces around the area have been shut down.

CEO of the Colac Otway Shire Peter Brown stated council managed centres such as Bluewater, COPACC, the library, the customer service centre and the senior citizens had all been closed.

"It is a concern to me, I think people need to think carefully about continuing to socialise with each other, maybe over the phone or over the fence. We still need to make sure we are speaking and checking in with people but just in another manner," Mr Brown said.

"Things that people attend regularly and get a lot of social benefit from are no longer open to us and available, so it's up to us as a community to stick together."
