Baby's mother says accused 'may have done something'
A 27-year-old former Colac man faced a committal hearing at Geelong Magistrates Court yesterday over the alleged murder of his infant son in their family home.
Police charged Scott Hammond with murder and child homicide in February this year after a lengthy investigation into the death of his three-month-old son Braxton in 2011.
His former partner and the child's mother told the committal hearing via video link that while she had never seen Mr Hammond hurt the boy, she believed he may have 'done something'.
The hearing is set to take four days and continues today, with evidence expected from medical experts.
