Both football suffered losses to the might of Horsham
The seniors suffered a disappointing 90-point loss to the Horsham and District Football League. The CDFL boys were never really in the contested with Horsham dominating in the ruck in the middle and on the scoreboard from the word go and led by 23-points at the first break. A good start to the second term from the CDFL boys was quickly stopped where Horsham booted five goals in the space of seven minutes and led by 64-points at half time.
Colac dominated the third term but could not produce a goal, Tom Mullane-Grant kicked four behinds and Christian Kelly two- Horsham were able to extend their led and then they went on to record a massive 19.19.(133) to 5.13.(43) win.
Christian kelly and Tom Mullane-Grant kicked two goals for the CDFL and Tom Leishman one goal. Josh Weatherhead was named best on ground for Colac with Kane Smartt, Andrew Kelly, Jake O'Dywer, Liam McGuane and Stephen Salajan all named in the best players.
The Under 17's battled hard in their 14-point loss. One-point down at half time- A goal less third quarter cost the side the match going down to Horsham 8.11.(59) to 6.9.(45).
Tristan Smith kicked two goals for Colac and Nick Arnold, Aaron Clissold, Bailey Scott and Cullan Spence all kicking a goal.
Thomas O'Farrell, Matthew Lloyd, Rhyley Edge, Lachlan Cashman, Aaron Clissold and Josef Loubey were named in Colac's best players.
