A black spot on Cape Otway road to be fixed
Another black spot on the Cape Otway Road will be fixed after the Surf Coast Shire received Federal Government funding.
$1.8 million will be spent upgrading the road between Marshams Outlet Road and Parish Lane at Wurdiboluc, near Winchelsea.
The project includes sealing shoulders, installing edge lines, upgrade signage as well as raising reflective pavement markers and installing guardrails.
Member for Corangamite Sarah Henderson says the community would benefit from a safer local road network.
“Cape Otway Road has a number of dangerous sections.
"We recently provided $1.15m for improvements to a 4.6km section of Cape Otway Road between Gherang Road and Considines Road at Modewarre.
"This further upgrade will make a big difference to the Corangamite community.“
The work has been funded through the Black Spot Programme that aims to improve the safety and efficiency of roads around Australia.
