Can the Saints go back to back in 2017?
As dominate as the Saints were last season, could they get even better in 2017? They have been able to counteract their departing players with good replacements and they have a number of young players who should continue to get better. Jack Melican and Tim McLean are massive exits however they welcome back Stephen Salajan and Jack Parker to the club.
The Saints have not won back to back senior premierships since 1927-1928 but they will start the 2017 season as warm premiership favorites, their depth is by far the best in the league and it is hard seeing anyone getting near them this year.
In: Stephen Salajan (Colac Tigers) Jack Parker (Colac Tigers) Tom Cotton (VFA)
Out: Jack Melican (Colac Tigers) Zak Day (South Colac) Zachary Zybel (Colac Tigers) Luke Phillips (Retired) Tim McLean (Retired)
The Key - Jack Moorfoot - Tim Mclean's departure leaves a big hole at Centre Half Foward for the Saints, Jack has been one of the Saints huge X-Factor player who can play a key position at either end of the ground but might have to slot down at the CHF position this season.
In for a big year - Andrew Kelly - By all reports Kelz has had a ripper of a pre-season and was named skipper during the week. It looks like he has set himself to have a super season this year.
Keep an eye out for - Luke Kensit - Dominated in the Reserves last season, but carried too many player points to play in the seniors last year, look out for Luke playing a key role in the Saints ones this season.
