How will the Hawks go in 2017?
Excitement is building down at the Bay this pre-season as the Hawks are in the box seat to end their four year finals hiatus.
Martin White and Craig Rippon as co-coaches will lead the Hawks for the second straight year with no doubt aiming to finish in the top five. Their juniors (Under 17's) have reached the previous two Grand Finals with majority of the players involved now in the senior selection frame.
Their spine on paper is one of the strongest in the league, and if they can avoid a heavy injury toll they should rise up the ladder this season.
The Key- Casey McDonald- Casey has been in career best form over the last couple of seasons. He provides a massive target for their young midfielder's and kicks goals regularly.
In for a big year - Lachlan Mahoney - He had a pretty solid year at Alvie last year and has moved across to play for the Bay this season due to work commitments. He will be a very handy inclusion to this side.
Keep an eye on - Ezrah Robertson - We might not see much Ezrah as we like because - hopefully he will spend a lot of time selected in the Geelong Falcons side, but if we do see him in action in the CDFL expect excitement from him. He played two senior games last year while playing 21 under 17 games and booting 51 goals.
Prediction: 4th (9 to 13 wins)
