Motorcyclist fails to negotiate tight bend
A Horsham motorcyclist has been flown to a Melbourne hospital after a collision on the Great Ocean Road at Wattle Hill.
Port Campbell Police say the 53-year-old failed to negotiate a tight bend before colliding into an oncoming Mercedes Benz on Monday April 17.
The motorcyclist was wearing full safety gear but suffered lower body injuries from the ordeal.
A Melbourne family of four were travelling in the other vehicle and the driver sustained minor injuries.
Both the motorbike and the car had to be towed from the scene.
The Great Ocean Road was closed for some time while Emergency Services were on scene but it has since been reopened.
Police warn low speed collisions can still result in trauma.
It's the second motorcycle collision that's happened on the Great Ocean Road over the Easter Long Weekend.
While a Taiwanese National was killed a week ago in a separate incident on the Great Ocean Road near Glenaire.
