Local construction business recognised
A local business has won an award for their work building the Brae Luxury guest houses in Birregurra.
BDH Constructions received the South West Master Builders' Association award for Excellence in Construction of a Commercial Building between $1M-$3M.
Each 60-square-metre suite features a large bedroom, detailed ensuite with bath, star-gazing sky light, sitting area, cocktail bar, climate control with heated slate flooring and private outdoor seating with views to the rolling hills of The Otways.
Executive Director Andrew Russell says it's great to be recognised.
"It was a wonderful project to work on, a very detailed project, externally and internally.
"Our carpentery team has done a fantastic job with the fit out.
"We'd also like to commend all of the sub-contractors who provided other services, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and tilers."
The guest houses were designed by Melbourne architects Six Degrees.
Brae Restaurant has been ranked number 43 in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list.
It has also been awarded the highest Australian ranking of three-hats by the The Age Good Food Guide.
